Veolia Water Technologies is a company specializing in water treatment. For our office in Tienen, we are looking for an employee who wants to strengthen our team of engineers.

Description

The Process Engineer is part of the project department and is involved in designing, building, and monitoring (waste)water processes, process water and drinking water production. They provide support for service and startup of industrial wastewater treatment and water treatment systems in a highly customer-oriented business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Define the most suitable water/wastewater process design to meet customer needs and support the sales team in defending our technical solution.
  • Prepare technical documents, concept documents, or technical proposals.
  • Provide process technical support to the sales team in understanding customer needs to pursue challenging projects with Veolia technologies and/or 'Game Change' solutions.
  • Conduct process risk analysis.
  • Support the project implementation team by creating a complete and detailed system design, including mass balances, consumables, process flow, P&IDs, system control, O&M development, and equipment selections.
  • Provide training to the customer.
  • Maintain contact with the Technical Directorate in Paris and/or technical team at expert BU in acquiring the development of Veolia technologies/solutions.
  • Continue to upgrade and acquire knowledge about the latest technological developments and new/advanced technology in (process) water treatment.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and technical presentations to customers.
  • Perform on-site start-ups, performance tests, and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise and organize pilot and laboratory work if necessary for project and product development.
  • Communicate with suppliers to specify equipment and obtain prices.
  • Report the progress of the process department to senior management.
  • Provide aftermarket services to customers, including executing service contracts, evaluating customer data, and giving process advice to customers.

Required competencies

  • Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Bio, or Civil) or equivalent through experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch OR French and English.
  • Organized, process-oriented, and responsible.
  • You have an analytical and critical perspective.
